Iulia Mirela Ilisan is a contemporary artist based in Toronto, Canada.

Her practice is an evocative celebration of the natural world, woven intuitively with colour and light. She renders the feeling of a place rather than its likeness, creating work that is quietly immersive, lasting and deeply felt.

Born in Romania, Iulia spent her formative years in Canada, before making Australia her home for nearly two decades where she developed her artistic practice and built a family. She has recently returned to Canada, bringing with her a body of work shaped by the landscapes of two hemispheres.

Her work is held in private collections internationally, spanning Australia, Canada, and Europe.
